These fun, six week classes will give you an introduction to the wild and
wonderful world of Silversmithing. You will learn soldering, piercing,
reticulation, cabochon and tube setting and chain making. A total of 5
projects will be completed in class.

BronzCLAY - Textured Pendant Earrings & Bracelet – 1
day for 4 hours, 2nd day for 2 hours
Discussions on the properties of metal Clay will be
discussed. The different firing schedules, properties and
usage. Texture plates will be used so that we can focus
on getting a nice finish. Students will have projects ready
for firing after day 1. 2nd class will just be brushing,
burnishing and finishing (no previous metal clay
experience necessary)

Silver Ring. Techniques like snake rolling, joining,
carving and stone setting will be explored. Students will
receive a list fireable and non-fireable stones. Create a
beautiful ring with gemstone. (some metal clay
experience would be beneficial)

this class we will create a pair of leaf earring and pendant
using Art Clay Silver paste. How to pick the perfect leaf
as well as other suitable organic material for organic
replication. (no previous metal clay experience is
necessary)

In this class we will discuss how to make hollow forms out
of silver. Students will make a few hollow forms out of
cork clay. Then with some premade shapes you will make
syringe hollow form beads. (no prerequisite, however
previous syringe experience or cake decorating
experience will come in handy)
